Health and Life Insurance Specialist - Kuwait
This exciting new role reports directly in to the Head of Group Insurance and will involve working closely with the HR department of Alshaya's Retail Division. You will be focused on employee related insurance including Health Insurance, Life Insurance, and Accident and Workplace Compensation Insurance in all 17 of Alshaya Retail's operating countries.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Building relationships with insurers, brokers and third party administrators
* Building relationships with HR teams across the business and across multiple countries; communicating updates, market trends and information
* Reviewing the current insurance practice and proposing changes and improvements; examining centralised verses local insurance solutions, and external insurance versus self-insured programs.
* Acting as a subject matter expert in all matters relating to employee insurance; studying current policies and exclusions, monitoring expiry dates and managing timely renewals, ensuring insurers provide correct, comprehensive and timely claim statistics, and negotiating terms and conditions and assisting with difficult claims.
Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years' professional experience gained within in Health and Life Insurance, ideally with some experience of working in the Middle East
* Fluent in English (Arabic an advantage) with excellent communication and relationship building skills
* Well-developed negotiation skills with a passion, energy and determination to achieve the best outcomes when working with third parties
* Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail, specifically with policy wording and legal clauses.
