Health & Safety Assurance Manager

Job description / Role

Reporting to the Programme Director you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Develop and manage the PMC H&S management system that demonstrates H&S leadership, manages H&S risk, communicates H&S information, promotes design for H&S, entrenches H&S practices, behaviors and attitudes, and continually improves H&S performance
- Develop, publish and monitor H&S management programs
- Undertake H&S reviews of pre-qualifications, tenders, proposed work packages, supplier proposals and start up meetings
- Provide assurance through H&S audits and reporting arrangements
- Provide visible engagement with delivery teams to ensure they have suitable H&S provisions
- Provide coaching and support to stakeholders and be an ambassador for the world class H&S vision
- Lead and coordinate working approaches for H&S on the Programme

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold university degree and will come with at least 15 years total professional experience with 10 years in Health & Safety Management. The individual will have demonstrated experience managing H&S on large scale, complex projects, preferably on large infrastructure, construction or Programme management projects.

5 years’ experience in Middle East is highly preferred Membership of a relevant professional body is also preferred.
A Visa will be require to work in Kuwait.
