The Role

The Manager E-Commerce is a key leadership role in the IT Application Change & Delivery and will be responsible for defining and executing technology strategy for building, maintaining and modernizing our Ecommerce Platform and Brand Rollouts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Partner with the E-Commerce product team to define Alshaya's E-Commerce strategy
* Lead, build and motivate a talented team of E-Commerce technology professionals providing vision, direction and guidance
* Optimize the experience on ecommerce sites to improve conversion and increase repeat purchases
* Analyze and assess the effectiveness of all existing operations and current/future needs based on new technology and market competition
* Develop and execute a sustainable model to enable the continuous improvement of Core Platform from both technology and product perspectives
* Review end-to-end architecture of the platform in partnership with the Enterprise Architecture team, jointly recommending a new and long-term sustainable architecture for the platform, and plan and deliver the new technology architecture.
* Identify and apply proven techniques and tools to improve the overall quality and engineering pace of delivery of new product delivery
* Develop, report on and continuously improve KPI's by enhancing our site monitoring and optimization capabilities to make sure application is performing at the highest level for the best customer experience
* Partner with the Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture teams to jointly design, develop and activate the cloud strategy to enable sustained very high global availability and performance of the site

Requirements:

* 8 to 12 Years of Experience with 6+ years of experience in Ecommerce, Order Management, Supply Chain, or Fulfillment/WMS software in a product marketing and/or product manager role
* Hands on Experience in Ecommerce using Magento.
* Experience in Frontend development with HTML, CSS & Javascript.
* Understanding in Drupal 8.0 and integrated development using de-coupled architecture.
* Experience with Cloud and/or Software as a Service (SaaS) products
* Ability to act as a thought leader and influence others without direct authority
* Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
* Must be able to understand and articulate complex technologies
* Very organized and skilled at planning and managing complex cross-function projects
* Highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
* Team player with an ability to successfully interact across functions
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
* 6+ years' experience in software development building high performing, high volume web applications
* 6+ years' experience in multiple technical platforms mainly with Magento & Drupal, operating systems, and mobile application development.
* Experience with source control - Git, work item tracking - TFS and Jira, and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools

* Experience in Ecommerce industry, especially in Market place or Multi- Brand related

Manager is expected to lead a global team to successfully deliver a highly impactful digital presence on web and mobile, eCommerce and Omni channel, social media, etc., with solutions that meet business requirements. Success criteria for the role:

* Domain expertise; ability to architect, build and deliver scalable digital commerce solutions to meet growing business demands; expertise in communication, quality assurance, collaboration, stakeholder, team and time management
