The Role:

This position will provide analytical and architectural skills to help the strategy team in Strategy Development and formulation to improve the company's performance. It entails undertaking project management, strategic and business analysis, coordination and influencing roles in the strategy team, and is responsible for defining strategies and associated initiatives that drive growth for the company.

This position will be a critical part of our Strategy team dedicated to work closely with our leaders and management teams in portfolio strategy, financial and business planning, future trends, identifying new growth opportunities, and competitor analysis. In addition to being highly visible and requires frequent interaction with all staff levels, including the senior executive team. Moreover, it provides a complete range of information support to business managers, including decision support indicators based on targets, actual, assessment etc. to facilitate decision making.

Key Accountabilities and Activities:

- Support the development and monitoring of the company's growth strategy and operational excellence based on analysis of industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance.
- Support the definition of specific, measurable strategic goals for the company.
- Support the design of business scaling & revenue growth strategy for Telecom.
- Identify emerging areas of interest to Telecom and analyze of impact of future trends and their relevance to Ooredoo Kuwait.
- Work with senior managers to help set the overall strategic direction of the company, and to drive key initiatives including growth strategy and operational excellence.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to deliver market performance report, competitive profile and trends analysis.
- Support with business integration & design strategy for revenue increase.
- Analyze Business Case for strategic projects and large opportunities
- Perform Deep dives on strategic topics assigned by the management or proactively proposed.
- Run regular strategic reviews and support identification of new initiatives.
- Assist in the efficient designing of strategic initiatives.
- Develop strategic recommendations related to new operational efficiency levers and impulse long-term transformational initiatives.
- Work closely with the management team in the support of developing the business strategy and its sets of strategic initiatives.
- Support the 3-Year Business Planning and Development and cascading business strategy into the operational plans.
- Provide reports and presentations for reviews.
- Run internal and external environment assessment as part of the strategic cycle
- Support alternative scenarios planning and modelling. Build and maintain strategic framework and market model and forecasts.
- Support the Strategy & Business Development Director in developing Ooredoo Board Presentation & Messages
- Collate and coordinate Ooredoo Group Quarterly Report with Functional Heads and Functional Leads
- Support the Strategy & Business Development Director in developing key messages to ensure alignment
- Work closely with the management team and Strategy and Business Development Director in the support of developing the business strategy and its sets of strategic initiatives.
- Support the Business Planning and Development and cascading business strategy into the operational plans.
- Make recommendations to management team on specific opportunities (external as well as internal).
- Deliver analytically rigorous and data-driven insights that assist the company executives in making strategic decisions and drive business prioritization.
- Deliver data-based insights to support actionable strategic direction, corporate prioritization, and strategy communication.
- Deliver periodic reports on key performance metrics for business parameters.
- Design, structure and monitor schemes proposed by businesses aimed at revenue enhancement. Review the revenue and projections on a monthly basis.
- Set up measures and monitoring mechanisms to regulate and control the Costs initiatives.
- Performance & variance analysis (e.g. plan, KPIs and trends).
- Analyze competitor activities and their performances.
- Prepare presentations with inputs and insights to assist the management team in decision making.
- Analyze commercial activity efficiency and effectiveness
- Proactively take responsibility for self-improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.
- Other duties as directed by supervisor or other superiors.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree in business or a related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognized professional institute.
- Preferably an MBA degree (Marketing or Finance) discipline or an MBA with a specialization in strategy or finance. Strong Project Management and Strategy skills

Other Information:

- Required 5-6 years of experience based on progression ladder.
- 3 plus year's post-MBA advisory and preferably consulting experience at a leading strategy consulting firm or the strategy and corporate development function within a major company preferably in telecom companies.
- Experience in business strategy, marketing, business development, product management, new business & operations with leading Telecom & technology ventures.
- Proven facilitator and communicator that has the ability to lead groups at all levels through complex problems with confidence and clarity.
- Possess financial acumen with the ability to link and correlated between business strategy/initiatives, operational plans and financial performance.
- Good execution skills.
- Strong analytical skills and financial modelling capabilities.
- Good interpersonal & communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
- Attention to detail.
- Ambitious and result driven. Ability to cope with deadlines.
- Work prioritization and time management skills.
- Ability to drill-down and perform root-cause analysis.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, Access & Power Point and understanding of Database Concepts.
