Job description / Role
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Material Expert will be directly engaged with the Central Laboratory and the Quality Department.
Review current procedures of the Materials Approval Process, report on the gaps in the process.
Review current QA/QC procedures applied on design and construction firms.
Propose required improvements to the process, if needed.
Conduct necessary research for innovative new construction materials and for sustainable materials.
Evaluate the development / enhancement needs of Central Laboratory in terms of lab machineries and analysis software requirements.
Review and comment on Standard Specifications and highlight missing specifications related to roads and bridges construction.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University with minimum 20 years of relevant experience in materials involving in large size infrastructure and transportation project.
Must possess the ability to read and enforce working drawings and related specifications.
Computer literacy and excellent communication skills are a must.
Candidates must be proficient in English both written and oral. Arabic language communication skills would be a plus.
