Project Manager - Regional Operations - Kuwait

Central Operations is responsible, throughout all Middle East markets, for country profitability focusing on loss prevention, audit and customer service, at the same time driving consistent operational efficiency and best practice in all stores via the company standard operating procedures. Acting as a central point of store communication for the business, the team also protects the company's reputation, supports new brand openings and resolves any issues and problems on the ground.

As a Project Manager for Regional Operations, your key focus would be the day to day management of Manpower Planning Solutions and other business efficiency projects. This will be a head office based role with frequent visits to the stores, and you will report directly to the Senior Project Manager.

Specific responsibilities will include:
* Acting as the single point of contact for operators to ensure compliance on MPS, Standard Operating Procedures, Company Policy and sharing best practice
* Working with the IT development team on MPS updates and improvements
* Focusing on key KPI's such as Stock loss, Audit and Service, to eliminate risk to the business while ensuring the reputation of brands and Alshaya is protected
* Working with brand operators and support functions to create action plans to eliminate risk and or losses
* On visits to stores, checking compliance of MPS and all other business efficiency initiatives, and escalating non-compliance of these rules to brand operations teams and business leaders
* While on regular store visits, checking compliance with SOP's to ensure there is no risk placed on the business, while escalating and meeting with local operators and support functions such as LP, Audit and Customer service to ensure that an effective action plan is in place
* Carrying out training and coaching sessions in all markets on MPS best practice and support new mall openings
* Monitoring opening and closing timings to ensure all stores, restaurants and cafes within AOR are opening and closing as per mall hours and prayer times during trading hours
* Enforcing the usage of MPS by stores to ensure that staff scheduling is managed effectively
* Attending quarterly operator meetings to ensure best practice is shared between operators and support functions, and escalating general issues and concerns to the relevant brand teams, support functions and or senior management.

Requirements

* 2-3 years' experience of project management, including managing a team
* Strong communication skills and the ability to set clear direction, motivation, and guidance for stakeholders
* A high degree of self-motivation with a disciplined and pro-active approach
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
* A developed management style with a mature and logical approach to problem solving

The ideal candidate will also have Arabic language skills.
