Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Regional Regulatory Manager will monitor and manage Product Registration and Compliance at both an operational and strategic level across all MENA, maintaining a focus on regulatory frameworks and processes. You will ensure that operational scope complies with all department and local market requirements, manage high level brand and authority relationships, and liaise with third parties on contracts and accountabilities for the region. Additionally, you will develop our employees within each market and ensure business targets are met by providing leadership, motivation and driving performance.

Main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Advise on product compliance prior to market entry for all brands and product segments - liaise with Regional Operations Manager - Compliance (Import/Export) on requirements and best practices
* Work closely with the Head of PR&C to ensure smooth operational work flow and market entries for MENA Regulatory, as well as to recommend operational process change/directives and new regulatory measures
* Create & maintain registration/compliance standards appropriate to changing local and in-market work practices, ensuring consistency with company policy and local government regulations
* Liaise with Registration Managers/Specialists/Officers to ensure documents and submissions are performed as planned, document files are accurate/audited, and rectification takes place in line with market challenges and changes
* Represent Alshaya at government ministries, acting as the primary point of contact for high level ministry officials, relationships and related issues
* Support Logistics teams and functions across Alshaya in setting smooth and stream-lined processes for product pre-import compliance and shipment clearance in specific market
* Ensure and facilitate clearance and shipments are approved by appropriate authorities and cleared accordingly per local regulations in a timely manner
* Keep abreast of all new regulations and market requirements and provide feedback to Regional Export team from primarily a regulatory perspective.

This role is ideal for the candidate who excels in relationship management; you will be expected to liaise withkey authorities (for region responsibility), third parties, brokers and other key stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to create and maintain Employee levels/structures, assess performance, and decide appointments up to and including managerial levels. Additionally, you will develop an internal communication strategy with team and an external strategy with stakeholders and authorities, all while maintaining a consistent professional image of the company.

Requirements

* 5+ years' in field or Cosmetics, Medical Devices, Food, Food Supplements, Medicines etc
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (Pharmacy, Science)
* Knowledge of MOH and Government Processes
* Significant regulatory experience
* Ability to manage a large team
* Strong leadership skills.
