Senior Accountant - Kuwait

KEO International Consultants is a world ranked and leading Architectural, Engineering, and Project and Construction Management Firm with offices in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Bahrain, Dubai, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to join our rapidly growing team of professionals in Kuwait. As a Senior Accountant you will be required to have excellent communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, technology and analytical skills.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:
- Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, as well as a working knowledge of Kuwait company law, including, but not limited to: statutory requirements for the maintenance of accounting records; statutory requirements for annual accounts; and statutory requirements for director's reports.
- Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Maintaining the general ledger systems.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable.
- Researching authoritative literature for proper treatment of accounting topics.
- Coordinating the corporate budget process.
- Hiring, training and supervising accounting staff.
- Performing special projects as deemed necessary.
- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role.
- Credentials such as a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Chartered Accountant (CA) would be considered advantageous.
