Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for the creation, facilitation and implementation of in-house learning programs. The individual should posses the ability to develop various learning programs independently and deliver them.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and come up with a high level training and development plan that aligns with the organizational needs. Liaise with the business to understand needs and come up with solutions/ courses accordingly.
- Develop full-fledged in-house training courses with their detailed course modules, trainer’s manuals, presentations, and assessment process.
- Schedule employees for training programs. Generate consistent and up-to-date reports tracking the completed trainings with the attendees’ details, upcoming scheduled sessions, training effectiveness, and the ROI.
- Assist and engage in other employee development initiatives such as on the job training, on boarding training, mentoring/ coaching, and succession planning.
- Deliver in-house trainings that are structured around adult education and involve role-playing, simulation, team exercises, group discussions, videos or lectures.
- Liaise & procure services from training vendors as and when required and ensure that they are effectively managed.
- Initiate/coordinate different initiatives related training and development (i.e. leadership program, education assistance program, in house training sessions)

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- HR certification will be an added advantage
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role; high level of competency in developing and delivering high quality training programs; an experience in the L&D field in the logistics industry will be an added advantage
- Possess an ability to organize, prioritize & multitask
- Excellent facilitation skills – good command over the English language
- Ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team
- Works independently and remains self-motivated within his/her remit
- Good analytical skills – good knowledge on MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Bilingual (Arabic & English) would be an added advantage
