Employment: Full Time

This is a unique opportunity to work with the ME Independence team. It is an opportunity for a talented, self-motivated individual to develop his/her skill set and network in PwC ME independence team and the global PwC independence network, working with an experienced senior partner and senior manager across a wide range of issues. The role is likely to suit an assistant manager with the following qualities:
- Passionate about PwC and looking to further develop him/herself and his/her PwC network
- A people person able to build relationships with a wide variety of individuals at a wide variety of levels – from senior partners to staff

Working closely with the Independence Team, your responsibilities will include:
- Building relationships with the ME and EMEA independence network and:
- Identify best practice guidance and processes in order to share with the Independence/R&Q community
- Assist with the running of regular knowledge-sharing calls with those in EMEA Independence who support the Consulting practice from an independence perspective
- Liaising, if needed, with engagement partners, GRPs and audit partners of our restricted clients in order to:
- Understand the client-specific independence procedures and policies and;
- Contribute in developing template materials and make available client-specific policies and procedures to the ME independence network and the practice
- Building relationships with ME leadership and senior partners to understand their requirements and their expectations from the independence team
- Building relationships with key members of the US independence Office to understand key developments on policy and guidance on SEC matters and work with others to develop relevant guidance for the practice

Based on interactions with the independence community and practice leaders identify areas where additional guidance is necessary to meet the demands of the practice and work with others to develop guidance, training and tools to support the independence function in the Middle East.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant work experience in a professional services environment
- Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills and intellectual capacity to make decisions.
- Ability to be flexible and quickly shift gears in a dynamic environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Strong relationship building skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and with self-confidence at all levels , both written and oral
- A conscientious, ambitious team player, with good self-management skills and an ability to take initiative.
- A professional or academic qualification (degree level or equivalent), or extensive relevant and practical experience
- Able to “connect the dots” among people and projects to formulate an overall big picture view
- An energetic self-starter who within reason is capable of deciding what needs to be done without being told
- Ability to work by him/herself without a substantive support from the team
- Good communication skills and the ability to draft and deliver clear messages to a wide range of audiences
- Ability to influence people by flexing their style and understanding their agenda
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to apply existing skills to a wider variety of project topics, not necessarily related to their own area of specialism
- Resilient in difficult situations and able to cope with tight deadlines, difficult people situations and constant change
