Trade Finance Manager

Job description / Role

We are looking for candidates having 6-10 years of experience in managing the below tasks for the position of Business Consultant with Path Solutions.

A Trade Finance product specialist with responsibility for overseeing the operational performance, service quality and control environment of the unit.

The core purpose of the role is to manage a large and critical banking business unit- Trade Finance Operations.

The role holder will lead and deliver targeted results across dimensions of customer service as well as hold P&L responsibilities. The role involves significant interaction with product and business leads within the bank and managing strategic relationships.

Shareholder & Financial:
- Define and execute operational strategy to support the company's overall business strategies.
- Develop/ create the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), for performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes, pertaining to the Business Operations and monitor the achievements of its individual departments/ units on periodic basis.

Customer:
- Ensure the provision of adequate and efficient processing services pertaining to Clients, resolving their queries/ problems and thereby help them serve their respective external customers in a more efficient manner.
- Develop/ finalize Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/ units to achieve improvements in turnaround time (TAT) with respect to processing of transactions for the respective departments/ divisions/ units.

Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
- Ensure the existence of adequate and robust processes and controls (automated/ manual) to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Monitor and assess the Business Operations by reviewing daily exception reports and discussing significant matters with the heads of departments.
- Evaluate existing as well as new products/ services and provide recommendations on ways to improve the effectiveness/ efficiency of the transactions related to the same.
- Provide professional direction/advice on all trade finance related matters within the unit/Bank.
- Compile relevant MIS on periodic basis for the management.
- Ensure system and quality enhancements by monitoring the respective activities and processes implemented, and by keeping abreast with new methodologies and practices

Requirements

- Masters degree in Business Administration, or equivalent Professional qualification
- Minimum 6 years' experience in banks preferably in Trade Finance department.
- Must be managing over 50 FTEs in current role, with independent P&L responsibility.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of systems and processes especially related to the incumbent's area of responsibility.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of Risk - Credit, Regulatory and Product.
- Sound knowledge of all banking products and services.
