Head of Alignment & Permanent Way - Malaysia
Client is a major rail company working on the Klang Valley MRT Line 2 Project in Malaysia.
They currently have an urgent requirement for a Head of Alignment & Permanent Way to lead a small team of alignment engineers within a major railway developer organisation and to manage and review consultancy work with regards to route planning, detailed alignment and permanent way design.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience relevant to this position
- 6+ years senior managerial experience
- Experience in Alignment & Track Design for Metro railways
- Experience in the analysis and documentation of rail engineering works and processes from Feasibility and Design to Implementation and Client Handover.
- Working knowledge of Bentley Rail Track (from alignment design through to preparation of drawings)
- Good general knowledge of railway systems, operations and their interfaces with track
- Good general knowledge of supporting civil infrastructure (e.g. tunnels, viaducts, earthworks)
- Detailed Permanent Way design experience preferable ( e.g. design and specification of components, and track systems)
- Ability to analyse rail track designs to determine safety requirements.
- Ability to interface with general surveying work
