Employment: Full Time

Client is the Project Delivery Partner working on Malaysia’s largest and most ambitious infrastructure project. They are currently recruiting for a Head of Department – Systems Construction Management to be based in their office in Malaysia.

As Head of Systems Construction Management you will be responsible for the overall management of systems construction program and activities and coordinating Installation Programme of the various works package contractors and civil works.

Main Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of base coordinated installation programme for preparation of tenders.
- Preparation of construction interface requirements between all systems and civil infrastructure such as buildings, viaducts, tunnel etc and other railway sub-systems such as rolling stock, track, depot etc.
- Managing key access dates for each systems.
- Support the preparation of Tender documentations for Works Packages and ensure that construction management plan is included in the Works Packages.
- Participate in tender evaluation of tenders.
- Participate in design review gate process to ensure the design conform to the requirements and is constructible.
- Monitor and control requirements changes affecting systems construction throughout the project implementation period.
- Monitor and control changes to the MIP, CIP and Programme to completion.
- Conduct verification and validation inspection and assessment, where appropriate to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Participate in the testing and commissioning for systems and related systems.
- Provide technical support for compilation of all as built documentations necessary for Systems Acceptance by the Regulator, Employer and Operator.
- Manage the training and career development needs of subordinates.
- Coordinate and liase with appointed consultants, when available, in performing the functions listed above.

Requirements

- 15+ years of experience
- 5+ years of managerial experience
- Regional rail experience
- Have worked on projects in excess of $200million
- Have seen a project through from inception to construction
- Hold a degree in Engineering or related subject
