Principal Alignment Engineer - Malaysia
Our client is a world leader in the design, development and delivery of railway schemes across the globe.
They currently have an opening for a Principal Alignment Engineer to join their team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as an alignment engineer or permanent way design engineer
- Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent
- Extensive experience working for an engineering consultancy within the rail sector
- Experience in preparing alignment design and drawings in Bentley Rail Track - including route selection
- Experience in preparing permanent way design - including design and specification of components, including ballastless track systems.
- Ability to supervise the preparation of designs and their drawings in Microstation.
- Capable of producing and checking a wide variety of permanent way design details.
- A good knowledge of railway systems, railway operations and their interfaces with alignment and track.
- Possess an understanding of system engineering concepts and safety management.
- Be familiar with track construction and installation methods.
- Able to write and check reports and specifications.
