Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Responsible and accountable for developing and maintaining relationships with business customers. Recommend required strategies and translate the desires of corporate customers into action plans to ensure understanding of clients needs, challenges and goals, delivering on annual set targets.
- Identify and drive opportunities to maintain and cultivate employee benefit business in line with annual targets;
- Supporting direct customers in all related issues and needs to ensure a long term relationship and initiate up selling;
- Assess and follow up on product and services and determine necessary actions in relation with customer service and operations to ensure a sustainable relationship with the customers;
- Ensure underwriters receive accurate and complete assessments of risks quoted and ensure timely issuance and submission of employee benefit proposals as per TAT set;
- Ensure all internal and external audit controls and recommendations are in place when quoting on renewing and securing new business;
- Report and reconcile all relevant data;
- Represents MetLife and maintain the portfolio of employee benefit customers by demonstrating full knowledge and expertise in this domain;
- Take responsibility for own personal development in line with agreed annual performance objectives;
- Understand and adhere to all Compliance requirements.
- Communicates with the Client Relationship Managers, underwriters, employee benefit team and sales administrators on sales, annual objectives & underwriting related issues.
- Work together with customer service and operations when required for solving issues.

Requirements

- Graduate or Post graduate
- Experience in Employee Benefits & have good market knowledge of Medical & Life products
- Insurance qualification from a recognised body (LOMA or Chartered Insurance Institute)
- High knowledge of the Company business, capabilities & product offering
- Relationship builder with B2B exposure.
- Excellent communication in all forms
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- A results-driven approach in order to meet allocated targets each year;
- Strong presentation skills and sales technique;
- Ability to develop and deliver innovative ideas;
- Computer literacy;
- The ability to work as part of a team.
