JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
To support in providing technical expertise and direction to dnata businesses on all matters related to Occupational Health and Safety to reduce risks, execute safe operations and coach on safety performance improvement
Job Outline
Execute
- Provides advice and support to operations team to ensure safe implementations of operations
- Provides advice and guides to create consistency across multiple locations and business
- Intervenes in unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and ensures that appropriate action is taken and that the operation is safe with the right behaviors
- Implements safety improvement programs and monitors the performance and effectiveness
- Participates in Safety self-assessments and audits
- Participates in investigations and corrective actions
- Specific to Arabian Adventures - Coordinating environmental and sustainability projects and monitoring their implementation processes within.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in training / safety or related field
- Qualifications from a recognized international institute or association
Experience
- 3 -5 years' experience in safety related field
Knowledge / Skills
- Must be physically able to work in conditions relevant to Airport ground, catering and cargo operations.
- Must be able to mentor, train & coach Entry level Safety Advisors
- Field and office-based position: approximately 75% field, and 25% office.
- Proficient knowledge with safety related requirements in interpreting OHS regulations, and safety codes.
- Proficient investigations skills
- Proficient knowledge of observation programs and behavioural based safety
- Proficient communication skills
- Proficient computer and IT literacy
- Proficient planning and organizing skills
- Proficient data collection and analyses skills
- Proficient presentation and facilitation skills
- Proficient professional writing skills
