Overview of the role:

The Senior Visual Merchandiser plays a critical role in shaping the brand's image and driving sales through visually compelling displays and strategic merchandising techniques. The role involves a combination of creative and strategic tasks aimed at maximizing the visual appeal of the brand's products and ensuring a compelling in-store shopping experience

What you will do:

Develop Visual Appeal and Standards
- Develop, deliver and communicate visual concepts to represent Toys R Us visual standards.
- Create merchandise floor layouts and do floor moves and brand rotation periodically.

Implementing Planograms
- Developing and implementing planograms that optimize product placement within the stores. This includes determining the best locations for different types of toys, considering factors such as customer traffic patterns and product popularity.

Commerciality
- Takes ownership and shows commercial initiative to use promotional hotspot areas to drive sales.
- Develop and create concept and ideas of windows, pop ups and podiums stands, exhibitions panels and other events, point-of-sale displays.
- Available to work flexibly, which will include early mornings and overnight shifts.

Communication and collaboration
- Communicate effectively with the store managers, store team and line manager.
- Keep and maintain a photo collection used for best practices and referral to previous campaigns.
- Ability to send clear VM instructions to store manager, gather feedback and work on action plan
- Collaborating with marketing team to ensure that visual merchandising efforts are aligned with broader marketing campaigns and product launches. This may involve coordinating promotional events, incorporating new product releases into displays, and providing feedback on product packaging and branding.

Monitoring and Analysing Performance:
- Monitoring the performance of visual displays and making adjustments as needed to optimize sales and customer engagement. This could involve analyzing sales data, gathering customer feedback, and conducting regular store walkthroughs to assess the effectiveness of displays.

Staying updated on industry trends
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in visual merchandising, as well as developments in toy design and retail technology. This may involve conducting research on emerging trends

REQUIREMENTS

Required skills to be successful:
- Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) packages, such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator or Photoshop to create visuals and plans.
- Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks: Good English communication skills, basic decision making, excellent customer service skills, positive attitude, physically fit, fast learner and a team player.

What equips you for the role:

Education:
- Bachelor degree / Undergraduate studies in Fine Arts / Graphic Design / Interior Design / Industrial Design
- Minimum Experience and Knowledge: 5 years VM experience in Retail or Toys/kids environment.
