Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client one of the top 10 global market research firm is looking for a Commercial Director to lead the sales & business development division across the Morocco, Tunisia & Algeria region.

Over all objective of the role is:
- To meet the regional sales target
- Develop strategic account management approach to identify and grow existing accounts/clients
- To identify opportunities to cross sell the whole of company offer including products, panel and custom research.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development
- Meet the agreed regional sales target for the region
- Lead in creating sector/team commercial plans with the associated sector leads / sales team
- Together with the management and sector leads, map the clients across the organisation to classify the range of existing accounts
- Bring in new business/clients by working closely with sector heads
- Adopt consultative selling skills to grow the existing accounts by increasing share of wallet for existing stream and identify new opportunities for cross selling

Marketing
- Work closely with the client marketing team to develop regional marketing plans.
- Identify and attend any networking events to meet with existing or new clients

Organisational management
- Support the management in inculcating an account management philosophy across the business and instil holistic account management approaches to all clients
- Ensure the sales team have adequate and appropriate training, identify training needs and deliver appropriate support through on-job coaching
- Ensure the different areas of the sales team are managed and motivated, resolving conflicts where these arise
- Ensure accountability and targets are clear for all sales personnel, and develop, manage and monitor sales incentive schemes
- Closely monitor activity of the team and drive a performance management process with regular performance reviews, obtaining input from the HR team where needed
- Ensure proper and full use of the CRM system across the business

Requirements

- Previous background working in a media house, media sales or similar industry
- Proactive account management and sales focus
- Good understanding of market research industry
- Strong initiative, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to form broader relationship within client organisations
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication/presentation skills
- French speaking is a must; Arabic is a plus
