Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: To lead and direct the effective and efficient management of the Finance & Legal Functions of OMRAN, by providing strategic direction, policies development and guidelines, to facilitate the achievement of business objectives within the overall company vision and mission. Optimising legal protection of OMRAN’S business interests and endorse constant enhancement of financial systems in line with industry best practices.

Responsibilities
- As a member of the senior management team, participate in the development and refinement of OMRAN’s overall vision and strategy and contribute to the overall process of corporate management and decision making to ensure OMRAN maximizes its short, medium and long term profitability and returns to its shareholders.
- Ensure that the divisional strategy is translated into annual operational business plans for all departments within the division and the performance is monitored annually to ensure business plans are in line with the overall strategy.
- Work closely with the CEO in aligning the business plan and financial planning process of OMRAN with the funding plans of the government.
- Provide advice and guidance to the CEO, the Executive Management Team, and the Board of Directors concerning the long-term capital structuring of the business so that OMRAN has funds available to support the achievement of strategic objectives.

Operational
- On the basis of current financial performance and anticipated commercial/ operational developments, develop and report financial trends over a strategic timescale so that the organisation is aware of anticipated revenues and cash flows so that financial opportunities can be capitalised upon and capital plans can be assimilated on the basis of anticipated cash availability
- Direct the execution of all treasury activities to ensure that OMRAN’s all remittances are accounted for and the company optimises remittances from investments while also reporting and projecting company cash flows.
- Direct the assimilation, communication and reporting of performance against the OMRAN’s annual budget to all cost/profit centres to ensure that the annual budget reflects all anticipated commercial and operational activities
- Ensure sufficient liquidity to manage the day to day operations of OMRAN and deployment of additional funds in appropriate financial instruments to generate returns.
- Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial processes and supporting information systems of the company to the budgeting, tax planning, asset management, risk management, internal control and corporate governance perspectives.
- Lead and direct the effective and efficient management of all OMRAN M&A activity, to facilitate the achievement of business objectives in line with the vision and mission of OMRAN
- Ensure effective financial management and that all avenues/opportunities of cost reduction and profitability are explored and reported to the management, in order to achieve a stable and sustained profitability levels, congenial to the OMRAN strategies.
- Review the financial implications of the various investments and joint ventures and provide insightful recommendation to the CEO and Board Members based on thorough financial analysis and studies in order to maximize OMRAN profitability and protect the interests of the company.

Requirements

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance
- Preferred MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from an internationally recognised business school.
- Professional qualification; CPA/CMA or equivalent
- Minimum of 14 years’ functional finance experience in the hotel and tourism sector or in an industrial environment with at least 7 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
