Commercial Manager- Facilities Management

Salary: £90,000 plus package
Start Date: Immediate

Are you an experienced Commercial Manager looking to oversee a multi-million contract? Do you want to join a leading infrastructure and service provider in the Middle East?

Our client has a diverse portfolio which includes infrastructure and civil projects as well as building projects and Facilities Management. The scope of works is continuing to grow throughout the Middle East and as it expands its economy to reduce its dependence on oil, providing future project opportunities for the successful candidate.

Petroleum development in Oman accounts for more than 70% of the country’s crude-oil production and nearly all of its natural-gas supply. Our client is the preferred service provider to offer integrated facilities management to the development.

The role is neither that of a finance manager, commercial manager or a procurement manager but rather a mixture of these disciplines. Reporting into you will be three finance staff, thirteen procurement staff and seven quantity surveyors.

Key Features of the role:
- Project works are properly valued as they proceed and upon completion.
- To deliver meaningful management information to show compliance against the contract Key Performance Indicators.
- Commercial strategy for the contract is aligned to the business unit and client objectives.
- To support the client by delivering options for commercial solutions and working with the team to control and reduce costs of delivery.
- To protect margins and maximise them wherever possible.
- Deliver effective monthly management information on the commercial and financial activity of the contract including analysis of the opportunities, risks and challenges.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the role of Commercial Manager.
- Member of a Professional Body with Intermediate Level Qualifications or associated degree as a minimum.
- Facilities Management knowledge is desirable.
- Possess knowledge of one complex functional or business area.
- Track record of success in supporting a major business contract.
- Customer focused.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Committed to continuous improvement.
