Immediate start – Resident Engineer – Mixed Use Development – Oman

Salary: 3500 Omani Riyals (negotiable)

Our client, who is one of the leading consultants in the GCC, requires a Resident Engineer to join them on a permanent based out in Oman on a number of construction projects, with a view to an immediate start and potential progression within the company.

The successful candidate will be expected to have a solid understanding of the construction industry and is either currently in a Resident Engineer or Project Manager role. Additionally the candidate should possess big project experience of projects worth upwards of 500mn USD.

Duties:
- This position entails all typical duties of a resident engineer with an inspection / office engineering staff. Plans, organizes, and supervises resident engineering and construction inspection activities for major transit projects.
- Serve as the senior site representative for the inspection of contractor construction activities, payments, processing and negotiation of claims and change orders, supervise all staff of personnel consisting of engineers, inspectors, project control, office engineers, project administrators, and specialty sub-consultants.
- Leads progress meetings and interacts with client on a daily basis.
- Coordinates responses to RFI’s and other technical issues with design engineers, ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts

Requirements

- Must have experience on projects of $500mn
- Must be able to show longevity in career
- Must have experience working for consultants
- Must be degree qualified
- Relevant construction experience (highrise, hotel, commercial)
- Preferably based in Oman

This Resident Engineer position comes with an extremely competitive package including basic salary, housing allowance, transport allowance, medical and tickets.
