Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Currently seating as one of Africa’s leading digital media businesses, our client is a thought leader in driving the growth of digital in Africa and they are looking for someone who will create campaigns and monitor the media space.

The person will also assist with writing proposals, contracts, reports, media plans and other daily tasks. The person will report to management on a daily basis and understand the general needs of online advertisers and publishers and be able to manage multiple campaigns successfully.

Campaign Management
- Lead the setup and execution of successful advertising campaigns from a portfolio of company's top brand and agency partners
- Leverage large and abstract datasets to identify opportunities for advertisers to increase performance, and scale their results to maximize return on investment
- Work with partners and colleagues to develop best practices and procedures, monitor key advertiser and business metrics,
- Identify and manage opportunities for company to enhance productivity and further develop company ad platform, tools, and guidelines based on business insights
- Own resolution of system or process issues, by collaborating with internal product/engineering teams on solutions, and providing consistent support to clients
- Analyze massive scale structured and unstructured data to drive actionable insights
- Create and maintain insightful automated reporting and dashboards to track business and operational KPIs
- Leverage data-informed insights to drive new products, extensions, processes and initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as Product and Engineering to lead or contribute to large scale strategic projects as well as solve ongoing operational problems at scale
- Develop expertise regarding audience and advertiser behavior, sentiments and in every company market

Requirements

- BSc/MSc degree with 1-3 years professional experience (quantitative disciplines such as math, statistics, computer science, information systems preferred but not a must)
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis and strong Excel skills (knowledge of SQL or statistical software preferred)
- Strong proficiency with with excel or google spreadsheets.
- Good technical knowledge (HTML, JavaScript).
- Perfect knowledge of the different ad models as CPC, CPM, CPA, etc.
- Proficiency with web applications (browsers, Instant Message, software).
- 3+ years of relevant advertising or operations experience
- Ability to source and skillfully manipulate both internal and external data sets
- Strong critical thinker with demonstrated problem solving abilities in a professional setting
- Ability to rapidly assess, analyze and resolve complicated issues, and distill that complexity into simple and concise communication
- Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Desire to be a part of the constantly evolving mobile ad marketplace
- Knowledge of mobile advertising and/or measurement methods and technologies is a plus
- Mobile/Web media buying experience.
- Experience in managing campaigns directly for product owners or affiliate networks.
- Experience monetizing web and mobile traffic.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced Knowledge of the Digital Ecosystem and Mobile Advertising
- Strong agency relationships
