Technical Manager

Job description / Role

A Technical Services professional with technology solution knowledge in waste management, sanitation or similar industry working experience.

Will manage and develop the in-house departmental operational services, fleet/equipment repair & maintenance, technical stores, contract management and work shop operations efficiently and effectively.

You will be required to do the following also: to oversee and direct the work of the Technical Services team in connection with fleet & equipment repair and maintenance, technical stores operations, materials and component requirements, specifications, testing, modification and procurement. To oversee and manage the contract and workshop. Develop and maintain appropriate technical/operational standards and quality assurance processes for monitoring team output and ensuring delivery of tasks to agreed standards and within deadlines and budgets.

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years of experience at technical services management level in the waste management, sanitation or similar industry.
- Experience and knowledge in modern set up and technology solution
- Good strategic management and planning skills
- Good Knowledge of Contract Management, Maintenance procedures, and SLA implementation.
- Proficiency with standard office computer and web applications (Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to operate under stress in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Equally comfortable working independently or collaboratively on a project, often under compressed timelines.
