Job description / Role
Planning:
- Provide input to generate Yearly Operational plan based on the AOP requirements. Review new features and roadmaps of vendor equipment. Recommend new policies governing 3G network optimization and identify areas of improvement. Implements the enhancement of tools to facilitate solutions to related themes, issues and problems. Provide in-depth information to the management on the network performance improvements, degradations and abnormalities.
- Meeting AOP targets thru Radio Network Optimization :
- Responsible for the meeting the AOP KPI targets. Undertake regular reporting to provide network performance degradation information Maintain and improve inter-system mobility with 2G and 4G. Recommend solution on recurring operational issues that adversely impacting customer experience.
Optimisation:
- Propose new global level parameter changes to enhance KPIs and customer experience. Highlight high utilization or bottlenecks with respect to RNC/Iu-CS/Iu-PS. Utilize all available tools for optimization and troubleshooting including Huawei CHR and Ericsson GPEH.
- Conduct feature trials for continuous improvement on customer experience. Test and deploy new features.Recommend changes on existing optimization methodology.
- Accountable of achieving TRA obligatory KPIs of 3G network. Optimized in-house new site to confirm that it passed the Acceptance criteria. Review new sites report submitted by the vendor to ensure that acceptance criteria is met.Monitor and record the impact of any optimization changes to ensure optimum performance. Conduct field optimization whenever required to measure and improve customer experience
Collaboration and Support:
- Mentor junior colleagues to support the training plans and individual competency development. Provide regular update to Line Manager network performance and operational issues. Promote open-door communication policy to team members and external departments. Work together external departments on their project undertakings to successfully deliver the requirement.
Requirements
You have a bachelor degree in communication engineering. Minimum of 6 years’ experience in UMTS/HSDPA Network optimization with specific experience in Ericsson & Huawei products.
Excellent analytical skills using in TEMS Drive test Investigation. A strong understanding of UMTS/HSPA features and functionalities. Knowledgeable in Ericsson and Huawei RAN Features. A strong understanding of mobile industry trends and services.
Technical Skills:
- Good in MS Excel statistical functions.
- Practical macro programming skills in C,C++, VB
- Excellent reporting skills thru the use of PowerPoint presentation
- Very good written and spoken English.
- Good written and spoken Arabic is desirable
