Summary:
The Accountant plays a vital role in the real estate industry by managing financial transactions and providing accurate financial information to support decision making. They are responsible for maintaining financial records, overseeing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Financial Statements: The Accountant is responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: The Accountant works closely with management to develop budgets and forecasts for the real estate business. They monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide analysis and recommendations for improving financial performance.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: The Accountant is responsible for managing the accounts payable and receivable processes, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Reconciliations: The Accountant performs regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Tax Compliance: The Accountant ensures compliance with tax regulations by preparing and submitting accurate tax returns and keeping up-to-date with tax laws and changes.
- Cash Management: The Accountant manages the company's cash flow by monitoring and forecasting cash requirements and coordinating with banks to ensure sufficient funds are available.
- Financial Analysis: The Accountant conducts financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. They also provide ad-hoc analysis and reports as needed.
- Audit Support: The Accountant supports the external audit process by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and addressing any audit queries.
- Record Keeping: The Accountant maintains accurate and organized financial records, including receipts, invoices, and contracts.
- Compliance: The Accountant ensures compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the real estate industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
