Administration and Finance Manager

Job description / Role

In 2011, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said decreed the establishment of a new university dedicated to scholarship and research in science and technology with a mandate to expand the nation’s higher education capacity significantly and spur economic growth.

Our Client, the University of Oman Project (UOP) is the project phase of the University of Oman which is expected to become operational by August 2018.

The University of Oman Project seek to employ the services of an Administration and Finance Manager to join its project team.

The successful candidate is expected among other things to:
- Serve as a partner to the UOP Director on administrative and operational processes, with a goal of continuously developing and improving systems.
- Have overall financial management responsibility including the review and approval of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting materials and metrics.
- Work with the other unit heads, consultants, advisors and other staff to contribute to development and evolvement of the UOP strategic and business plans.
- Work with the UOP leadership to contribute to Human Resource Management issues.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Finance.
- Master Degree in Finance or Management is desirable.
- 15 years of experience in a similar role including at least 3 years of experience in Oman.
- Knowledge of IFRS and the International Standards on Auditing.
