Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading international firm is wishing to recruit a 3-4 yr PQE Associate in their Debt Capital Markets team. The role deals with a broad range of regional and international transactional work including structured finance and securitisation, debt capital markets, Islamic finance/sukuk and derivatives.

Ideally the candidate will have significant experience within the debt capital markets team of an international law firm, working for underwriters and issuers in connection with international bond issues and medium term note programmes.

Requirements

The candidate will have:
- Drafted and negotiated standard bond documentation
- Drafted prospectuses for issuers across a range of industry sectors and jurisdictions (and, preferable, have good experience of transactions in emerging markets)
- Have a strong understanding of the listing rules and disclosure requirements taken a lead role on transactions

Experience of the following would be helpful but is not an absolute requirement:
- Advising bond trustees
- Liability management transactions
- Sukuk transactions
- OTC derivatives
- Securitisation and/or structured finance transactions
- High yield

The candidate will be keen to work on a range of different transaction structures - in particular, sukuk and derivatives - and different industry participants, in particular, bond trustees.

A strong academic background is a pre-requisite.

We are looking for a dynamic 4 years PQE associate with strong technical and drafting skills to join their expanding transactional banking team in Muscat. Ideally the successful candidate will have gained their experience at a City or major regional firm.

As a large part of our work also involves Oman law and practise, the candidate will also be expected to learn quickly and demonstrate commitment to client investment, knowledge databases and getting involved with the training activities of the office and the team as well as the wider region.
