Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Administration of on-going Contracts, in compliance with the Contract documents. Investigates problems and recommends corrective action.
- Preparation of Contract change and relevant variation orders.
- Assists in the contract close-out procedures to ensure that all terms and conditions of contracts have been complied with prior to final payment to contractor.
- Assists in the contract administration.
- Assists in the review of Contractor’s claims in accordance with the provisions of the Conditions of Contract and ensures the Client’s interests are protected.
- Monitors the maintenance of all warranties, bonds, insurances, guarantees, etc. and requests for updates in accordance with the Contract and Clients requirements.
- Assists the Project Control team in respect of contractual implications of change orders.
- Preparation of Project financial reports.
- Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of logs in respect of: Engineer’s Instructions, Variation Orders and Claim.
- Attends Commercial Meetings and records minutes of meetings.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Quantity Surveying from Western University
- Minimum of 5 Years’ experience
- Additional qualifications in construction law advantageous
- MRICS or equivalent essential
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Excellent command of the English Language
