Employment: Full Time

We are looking for qualified accountants to join our Oman Assurance practice as an Assistant Manager.

As an Assistant Manager the key aspect will be managing a portfolio of clients and will undertake the work in connection with external audits, reporting directly to a senior manager/manager or director/partner.

Other important responsibilities will include:
- Interviews with key client contacts throughout the delivery process.
- Managing group audits of big corporates.
- Managing the personal and professional training and development of your team.
- Providing audit and business advice to a variety of clients
- Managing and supervising work of staff members and delivery to the client
- Managing the day to day client relationships
- Staff management and coaching responsibilities
- Development of new business relationships and generating revenues

Requirements

- CA /ACCA/ACA or equivalent is essential
- Minimum experience of over 6 years with a big 4 audit firm
- Experience of working with IFRS and UK GAAP and auditing frameworks such as ISAs
- Broad ranging audit experience including planning, controlling and completing a diverse range of assignments
- Ability to manage a portfolio of clients
- Flexibility in your approach to meeting goals as part of the team
- Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels
- A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships
- A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions
- The ability to contribute to new initiatives, whether building relationships with target clients or other business development activities
- A reasonable degree of flexibility in relation to travel will be expected to serve the needs of our client base
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills and organisational abilities
- Well-developed listening and questioning techniques
- Strong desire for continuous improvement
- Able to work without the need for day to day direct management
