Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are looking for qualified accountants to join our Oman Assurance practice as a Senior Associate.

As a Senior Associate you will:
- Have a key role on audit assignments.
- Report directly to a Manager/Senior Manager and ultimately to a Director/Partner.
- Coach junior team members and responsible for their learning and development.

As a result, this role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop your overall personal and technical skills.

In addition to developing your personal and technical skills, the role will offer you:
- Experience of working on prestigious accounts and challenging assignments;
- Opportunity to work on large corporate and family groups;
- Exposure to senior management and partners of the firm;
- Exposure to current best practices in Corporate Governance and Risk Management;
- Exposure to practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards.

Requirements

- CA /ACCA/ACA or equivalent is essential
- Minimum experience of over 4 years with a big 4 audit firm
- Experience of financial reporting frameworks such as IFRS or UK GAAP and auditing frameworks such as ISAs
- Extensive experience of the audit from planning to completion, across a diverse range of assignments
- Flexibility in your approach in meeting goals as part of the team
- Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels
- A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional client service
- A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions
- Candidates will also be required to demonstrate the ability to contribute to new initiatives, whether building relationships with target clients or other business development activities
- A reasonable degree of flexibility in relation to travel will be expected to serve the regional nature of our client base
- Demonstrable strong analytical skills and organisational abilities
- Well-developed listening and questioning techniques
- Action oriented with a strong desire for continuous improvement
