Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As the Country Supply Chain Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

- Develop the strategic supply chain priorities for the country, in particular regarding, systems implementation, cost saving targets, local supplier performance and evaluation. Reviewed annually in conjunction with ABB Group targets.
- Deliver aggressive supply chain savings to support the local country EBITA (Earnings before Interests and Taxes) targets.
- Set up appropriate systems and organization support mechanisms for the different business types within the country, using shared service center where appropriate and cost effective.
- Lead key commercial negotiations with suppliers, including terms of payment.
- Ensuring compliance with ABB’s Supply Chain strategy – auditing, quality, risk management, etc.
- Developing the supply chain team in the country, ensuring that key skills and competencies are in place to meet the developing needs of the business.
- Health, safety and environmental performance. Setting the climate to ensure all personnel give this area the correct level of attention. Provide leadership by personally carrying out Site Observation Tours.
- Working with other Local Business Units (LBU) / Local Product Group (LPG) and functional leaders and actively contributing to the development of the business in Oman.

Requirements

As the ideal candidate, you will be a Omani national with degree in relevant subject (Supply Chain / Business / Engineering); Experience of leading a supply chain team; Experience in working in a global organization and leveraging BU / Division / Group opportunities.
