Employment: Full Time

The Head - Treasury, Insurance & Investor Relation Investor is responsible to maintain and develop the presentation of corporate and financial information to Ooredoo investment publics; namely its shareholders, potential investors, investment analysts and equity market participants in Oman as well as regional and international capital markets, and develop and implement a comprehensive, cost-effective Insurance programme and manager financing and refinancing of debts, administration of loan and IRS, Maintain banking and lender relationship, ensure compliance to group treasury policy.

Core Responsibilities

Treasury

• Assist Director in managing the treasury function also in consultation with OG treasury team whenever required
• Lead the Preparation of short and long term cash forecasts with a view to minimise the interest cost by utilising the right facility and the amount and making placement for any excess cash. Manage daily cash position and place excess cash in deposits at the optimal rates.
• Raise the relevant request to utilise/repay outstanding facilities on timely basis - Manage funds such that sufficient funds are transferred/available for weekly cash requests of AP team
• Ensure compliance to the approved counterparty limits (limits on maximum cash that can be held with each approved bank) in executing transactions
• Ensure treasury policy and procedures are updated in line with OG Treasury guidelines and direction with OG treasury assistance
• Ensure borrowings, placements, treasury risk, hedging ratios etc. are in line with the treasury policy

Insurance

• Develops implements, and oversees Insurance needs for Ooredoo focusing specifically on the identification, analysis, and recommendation of the most cost effective treatment for potential loss exposure
• Develop company insurance policies and procedures on insurance acquisition and management
• Works with brokers to create an effective budget for insurance premiums in each upcoming fiscal year.
• Ensures accurate and efficient handling and filing of current and past policies and records.
• Reviews existing and proposed insurance policies to verify that risks are appropriately managed.
• Negotiates the renewal of policies within the parameters of corporate insurance requirements, managing the risks and exposures to maintain low insurance premiums for Ooredoo
• Develops and documents applicable policies and procedures
• Manages the day to day activities around insurance and provides regular update to the insurers.
• Manages claims, as and when they arise, and challenge the insurers to maximize the benefit to Ooredoo
• Communicates insurance cover to Ooredoo staff and departments.

Investor Relation

• Responsible to the CFO, work with senior and operational management as well as accounting, communication and legal professionals to maintain and develop the company’s investor relations program.
• Serve as primary point of contact for the day-to-day enquiries from investors, investment analysts and capital markets participants.
• Work with the senior management to interpret and describe the company’s activities as an investment narrative.
• Manage quarterly earnings releases and guidance (Powerpoint, Excel and Word skills all required) Manage quarterly Conf Calls with analysts.
• Update the investors relation section of corporate website with the needed call info and needed material for that.
• Responsible for preparing periodic share performance report sent to senior and operational management.
• Advise senior management on regulatory and legal issues relating to the disclosure of price sensitive information and other equity market issues
• Coordinate and organize Annual General Meeting AGM by leading the team from finance, communication, and and legal teams at Ooredoo Oman.
• Maintain the financial calendar for the company including, quarterly earnings releases, closed periods, dividend dates, analysts conference calls, and financial report production.
• Work with other company members to answer enquiries from financial and business media.
• Manage periodic meetings with analysts to clarify and explain corporate performance.
• Manage schedules for investor meetings, handle investor presentations and represent the company at external presentations and conferences.
• Manage content of the investor section of corporate website, including quarterly updates and investor fact sheets
• Ensure there is a full, accurate and up to date shareholder database. Be contact point and liaison with the local securities market.
• Organize and conduct internal educational programs on important issues an updates related to investors relation such as insider trading, closed period, etc.
• Be responsible for the production and distribution of the Company Annual Report

Requirements

You have bachelor's degree in business or finance with:

• 8+ years’ experience with minimum of three years in a Finance Department with good understanding of finance operations.
• Experience in managing cash and forecasting.
• In depth knowledge of Insurance provision and analysis
• Strong expertise in defining scope of cover and managing claims
• Good experience in optimising returns
• Knowledge of financial analysis, investment markets and an understanding of corporate valuation processes.

Job Description Classification: Internal

• Knowledge and experience of IFRS reporting useful. Experience of the Telecom sector would be useful
• Experience of working in a large commercial business useful
