Electrical Technician - Maintenance

WTS Energy is currently looking for an Maintenance Electrical Technician to work in Oman on a rotational basis. The client is an international E&P operator.

Reporting to a Maintenance Team Leader, the Maintenance Technician forms part of early operations engagement on the Project.

The focus of the role is to embed practical maintenance experience into the Operations Readiness activities to ensure that the facility can be successfully operated and maintained to the required standards. As the project progressed the role will focus more on coaching and developing national staff to the level required to support the project asset.

The role presents a rare opportunity to be part of establishing a new operating centre which will aspire to the highest operating standards, comparable with the best of client facilities worldwide.

During the later stages of Execute the role will be based at the onshore gas processing facility and be involved with the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.

Review electrical SLD’s & schematic diagrams to test viability (operability, maintainability and access).

- Input into the equipment criticality analysis.
- Input into the RBI process for equipment.
- Input into the condition based monitoring program.
- Support the development and data population of the computerised maintenance management system.
- Input into the plant maintainability reviews.
- Input into the development of maintenance plans and procedures.
- Input into the development of training plans for national staff.
- Input into the critical spares analysis process
- Coaching and mentoring of national staff in the Maintenance team.

Requirements

- NVQ or City and Guilds qualification in a suitable Engineering discipline
- Experience in a maintenance role with an operating asset.
- Experience of a gas, oil or petrochemical processing plant.
- Experience with control of work processes and golden rules of safety.
- Experience in working as part of a multi-discipline maintenance team
