Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This position will work with business operational units to develop update and review policies and procedures. He / She has to analyzes and design workflows and processes for the organization, Identify and implement process improvements in that the following key tasks need to be achieved:

Key tasks and duties:
- Ensure that all policies and procedures capture a complete view of all activities and processes within and across the various business areas. Update policies and procedures to capture changes.
- Define standards for written policy and procedure in the Bank.
- Educate business operational units on format and content required for policy and procedure.
- Maintain official record, and time to time review process for drafting, revision and approval of policy and procedure.
- Establish and manage discipline for periodic review, revision, and certification of policy and procedure by business operational units.
- Draft and/or review and edit, or oversee drafting and/or review and editing of policy and procedure.
- Based on revision to policy and procedure, work with business operational units to recommend required changes to and delivery of training.
- Responsible for executing upon a program of work that will address process improvements and remediate audit findings.
- Facilitate adherence to processes and procedures.
- Responsible for analyzing information and developing and implementing solutions. Also responsible for ensuring effectiveness of implemented changes and solutions.
- Lead the definition and implementation of standard operational and quality processes, best practices.
- Coordinate with business operational units i.e. document current processes, facilitate process improvement discussions and develop documentation for proposed solutions.
- Ensure the alignment of business processes for effectiveness, efficiency and business continuity.
- Ensure the best use of resources and positively impact expenses, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

An ideal candidate should be a Degree holder with a minimum of 10 years banking experience and 3 years in the field of policies and procedures and documentation management with proper review mechanism and maintaining of central data base of all bank policies and procedures.

Or,

Diploma Holder with minimum of 15 years banking experience and 4 years in the field of policies and procedures and documentation management with proper review mechanism and maintaining of central data base of all bank policies and procedures.

He/she should be able to work independently with the business and operational units to develop, review and update of their policies and procedures of the bank, in that shall include but not limited to analyzes and design workflows and processes for the organization, Identify and implement process improvements, operation guidelines, instructions manuals, policies, charters etc.

Preference shall be given to the person having experience in the similar field with Policies and Procedure Background within Banking Environment

General requirements / skills / competencies:
- Preferably an Oman National
- Should have strong soft skill (word/excel/power point/vision plus)
- Should have strong knowledge of banking structure in term of operations, processes and control
- Should be able to work independently
- Thorough understanding of Bank’s Policies and Procedures Management Systems
- Ability to guide bank’s departments in formulation of policies and procedures manuals
- Should be active team player and solution oriented
- Should be able to prioritize and execute tasks on the basis of TAT and SPEED
- Should be self-motivated, initiative, innovative and dynamic
- General knowledge on regulatory matters and local laws
