Job description / Role

Expert – PS Core (Omani or GCC Nationals)

You will be responsible of planning, engineering and Designing the mobile PS core network using Ericsson & Huawei SGSN/MME, GGSN/xGW/CG/PCRF Nodes, interacting with RAN, CS core and IT network to define and plan the mobile data services, designing the VAS, MVNO and VPN services on mobile PS core with and without PCRF, ensuring all the design documentation of the services is maintained up to date within the core including PCRF, designing and Engineering the PS core security and VPN connectivity to partner networks, defining and planning the roaming networks and Interact with roaming partner to establish the connectivity, designing, engineering and optimising the APN ,BG, CG, EMM, DNS, firewalls that are part of the core network, evaluating, designing and Engineering the DPI capability, application controls and redirection, charging rules etc all through the network, working constantly with the multivendor environment to support Huawei/Ericsson nodes with 3rd party services/networks, proactively interacting with marketing teams for the introduction of new feature or services to improve the network performance or revenue, evaluating and tracking the trending and handsets using ADC and other available tools, designing and Evaluating the EPC Core, PCRF and other advanced services, designing and Integrating with IMS and LTE networks with the EPC Core infrastructure, planning, designing and optimisation of PS core firewall & border gateways, VPNs, radius servers in the core network, integrating the services with NMS, Projects rollout, coordination and supervision including internal and external parties, reviewing dashboards, reports of KPI’s and report to the management, based on periodic EPC core performance report and trend, participate & drive in the optimisation initiative in control plane and user plane, optimising the mobile PS core for highest standard of KPIs, providing opinion and technical expertise on optimising the internal core solutions in case if standard solution does not apply, programming and following-up with NOC for creating WO/Implementations, user requirement assessment and produce the PS Core/EPC service design and solution for internal & external services, producing the work order based on the internal PCID/new features/services testing and follow the provisioning completion with the relevant stakeholder, responsible of rolling out all projects under of EPC, designing and driving the implementation of EPC core network expansion, interconnections/ integrations with other core/RAN technologies according to annual operation plan, coordinating project roll out and supporting activities on detailed level with vendor to complete the project deliverables and handover to SA/NOC, participating in evaluation of the new features, services and technology of mobile data core networks & services, participating in technical RFP preparation, technical clarifications and vendor discussions and meetings, managing the deliverables of various vendors through their respective contracts.

Requirements

You should have more than 6 years of experience in planning & optimisation of mobile packet core networks (GPRS/3G/4G networks) and diameter, SS7 signalling of which 2-3 years of experience in Huawei EPC, LTE, PCRF IP Routing, Firewall and Roaming data network, in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- Huawei Ericsson SGSN/MME and GGSN/xGW platforms
- Ericsson MPBN solution
- MME/SGSN in pool and dual homing
- PS Core Optimisation management
- Huawei M2000/MOS AAA and PCRF platforms

With deep technical knowledge in 3GPP standard and specifications, preferred 3GPP technology training /certification, deep technical experience in Huawei / Ericsson SGSN/MME, GGSN/xGW,Data Roaming and Signalling, Huawei's AAA, Policy Manager certification, deep technical understand of Policy based routing and Deep Packet Inspection platforms certification, Ericsson /Huawei OSS, HP-OVO, Nokia-Siemens SPOC training/exposure, deep working experience in planning, implementation or Operations of mobile packet core networks (2G/3G/4G and Roaming), deep understanding and experience with various packet core networks monitoring tools (Ericsson OSS, M2000, MOS and Network Analytics, HP-OVO, Nokia-Siemens SPOC, Crystal Reports, Business Object, etc.) with a B.Sc.E.E. / M.Sc.E.E in Telecommunications or Computer Science (Preferred).
