Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading FMCG organisation are searching for an experienced Financial Manager for their Oman operation.

JOB OVERVIEW: To lead the company's financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the group of companies and to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice.

Reports to: Finance Director

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance team
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows
- Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
- Preparation of Monthly Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet
- Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports
- Financial modeling and analysis
- Cash management and treasury duties
- Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
- Overseeing the Payroll process
- Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company's finances
- Using a financial control framework, including financial accountabilities and authorities to ensure full financial control
- To develop and control a centralised accounting system to ensure that accounts are effectively managed
- Act as the main point of contact to external auditors and provide all required information
- Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and that group policies are followed
- Recommend changes that will improve the company's financial performance and financial controls
- Draft statutory accounts for the group of companies

Requirements

- Several years PQE in CIMA, ACA or ACCA
- Strong Excel and Accounting software
- Experience of making complex financial analysis easily understood in FMCG/ manufacturing background
- Costing experience in the FMCG/ manufacturing arena
- Experience in another organisation across financial reporting and control
- Track record of providing robust and insightful financial analysis, including planning and forecasting
- Experience of Financial Analysis / modelling / investment appraisal techniques
- Able to demonstrate a proven communication and leadership ability, with the gravitas to build solid, successful working relationships cross functionally
- The desire to challenge the status quo
- Knowledge of SAP processes or other relevant systems and ability to get up to speed quickly on relevant systems
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly excel and powerpoint
