Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers
• Arranging new sources of finance for a company's debt facilities
• Ensure 99% accuracy of the financial results reported to the Company (P&l, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, CapEx etc)
• Key work is monitoring the business performance, not as a pure 'Consultant' but as a 'doer' to ensure plans are executed in time and as per strategy.
• Overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the finance, accounting and treasury function.
• Ensures compliance with statutory and auditing requirements.
• Overall financial analysis of business performance and reporting to Finance Director on the same
• Budget variations and forecasts to be reviewed and presented in detailed Management reports.
• Handle Asset Management and ensuring that all company assets are effectively accounted for and monitored accurately.
• Effective communication with banks, managing banking relationships and involvement with the Treasury function pertaining to funding requirements and cash management
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures and ensure personnel/financial information is secure
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual projects.
• Manage the bookkeeping function, using available Accounting Software Package, including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
• Review contracts and supporting documentation
• Ensure related parties balances are matched on a monthly basis
• Project costing and project margin analysis
• Work with project teams to ensure timely compliance with all conditions precedent and other obligations

MIS Reports
• Budget preparation
• Project Cash flows
• General Accounting
• Review of proposals
• ADHOC assignments- Example: Audit of policy or procedures
• Five year plan
• Profit & Loss of Balance Sheet

Salary:
OMR 1,500 to 2,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Additional benefits: to be discussed at time of interview

Requirements

• Knowledge of project specific accounting
• Strong appreciation of project management skills with ability to multi task and function effectively under pressure
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office & ERP
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures
• Chartered / Cost Accountant with 6-10 years relevant experience preferably of Construction businesses (multi-product/multi-location).
