Employment: Full Time

Our client is a major multi-disciplinary consultancy with a growing presence throughout the Region.

Due to ongoing expansion, our client is looking to recruit a General Manager to be based in its Muscat office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and preparing the Business Development opportunities and activities within designated territory, provide project delivery leadership and manage the day to day running of the business.

Responsibilities:
- Develops the business development strategy and plan for region in line with corporate strategy, and identifying market leads within the local market.
- Leads and directs a team in the process of leads and business opportunities with all concerned.
- Regularly communicates and coordinates across departments, divisions, and Senior Management across regional areas providing guidance on Business Development issues.
- Assesses the requirements of staff within the territory and provides feedback, mentorship for improving the staff performance and development.
- Developing sound and elaborate business proposals in order to allow identification of local prospects of the company and present Senior Community Levels of the business.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with local clients, government officials and media representatives in order to develop new business opportunities.
- Provides support to resolve critical client’s complaints managing and coordinating an effective program of public relations to promote a positive corporate image among company’s existing clients.
- Assesses market changes and analyzes local market readings in order to evaluate and target potential clients/projects and ensure that the price level is optimized to ensure growth.
- Ensures resourceful data collection and analysis on local competition, markets, and Clients to make sure this information is made ready and available for Senior Management directions, decisions, and strategy.
- To assess and propose improvements to existing corporate wide policies, standards, or procedures in the development of future QA & IMS ocumentations.
- Responsible for the general management of the office ensuring that the right environment is provided to deliver projects.
- Potential to support Infrastructure Division on regional Business Development.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering
- Master's degree is a major advantage
- Minimum 10 years in a relevant position.
- Experience as a designer in the Architecture/Engineering industry - desirable
- Strong technical editing, proofreading, spelling, and grammatical skills.
