Our client one of the leading banks in the Sultanate of Oman are keen to bring on board a Head of Business Development to work in their asset management department:

Main Role (Overall accountability):

The client has grown to this position through the contribution of its human resource – its most important resources.

The client's Asset Management is the leader in fund management business in Oman. The division manages funds and discretionary portfolios investing primarily in the GCC. Our clients include Pension Funds, High-networth individuals, Regional institutions and International institutions. The funds managed by the asset management division are among the top performers in the GCC region. The asset management division has ambitious plans to become the leading fund manager in the region. We currently have around $1.7b of assets.

To support the ambitious plans drawn up for the Asset Management Division, we are seeking to recruit dynamic and self-motivated individual to Head the Business Development function. The right candidate should be highly innovative and enjoy working under challenging deadlines and targets.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Developing strategy for growing the client base across the Region / International markets.
- Provide ideas for new product launches.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships.
- Manage and motivate the business development team.

Requirements

- Professional degree in Marketing/ MBA with 10 to 12 years of post qualification experience in similar role.
- Having an existing Institutional client base in GCC / Europe.
- Excellent written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel as this job involves extensive travelling.
- Excellent team player/ leader with a hands on approach.
