Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Draft internal audit charter of the organization in line with international standards.
- Develop risk based annual audit plans detailing scope, nature and timing of audit activities.
- Design internal audit procedures and work procedures.
- Conduct internal audit to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the internal controls and procedures.
- Pre audit ail transactions, cost commitments and undertakings.
- Review accuracy, correctness and relevance of financial information and other disclosures provided to the board, the management, regulatory authorities, external auditors and other supervisory, monitoring and statutory authorities.
- Discuss audit findings and recommendations and help implement such recommendations with line Managers and Senior Management.
- Prepare audit reports and coordinate statutory audit with external auditors.
- Introduce fraud prevention and detection systems and procedures.
- Monitor timely implementation of management actions and board decisions.
- Constantly improve internal control, system and efficiency of the organization.
- Assist and develop an internal control culture based on risk analysis.
- Monitor and introduce trends and developments in internal audit areas.
- Capable of setting up an internal audit department.
- Familiarity to all statutory compliances as applicable for a listed company and ensure compliance of the same as per the Oman Capital Market Authority and other regulatory bodies.

Requirements

- Chartered Accountant or CPA
- Experience in Insurance Industry
- Internal Audit experience in a auditors firm / Insurance Industry for 5 years
- Internal Audit experience as a Manager Audit in Insurance Industry for 3 years
- Age not exceeding 35 years
