HSE Officer

Job Summary:
HSE officer’s role as a consultant is to monitor the construction contractor’s health and safety procedures, assess risk at the construction site, and design strategies to reduce potential hazards within an assigned workplace or geographic area. Work is full daytime weekday hours, both in office environments and out in the field. Manage and train other health and safety staff members and frequently travel to perform field investigations issue NCRs and respond to incident reports.

Job Responsibilities:
• Support with the capture of feedback and suggestions on corporate HSE policies and procedures from regional and local HSE Units through periodic meetings
• Investigate environmental accidents and other public safety concerns within their market. Investigate reported incidents.
• Monitor incidents of injury, illness, and other situations within an assigned geographic area.
• Design training programs to provide safety awareness education.
• Assess risks associated with tools and equipment, jobsites, and work environments within their assigned geographic areas.

Requirements

Qualification, Technical Skills and Competencies
• Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in in Health, Safety & Environment
• NEBOSH certificate
• Knowledge of HSE compliance requirements and audit programs is preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Proficiency in spoken and written English language.

Overall Experience Required to Execute this Role:
• 2+ years of experience in an HSE function of constructions, preferably in the pipelines, Infrastructure.

Nationality:
• Omani National preferred.
