Job description / Role
- Develop IP/MPLS network plan for core and access sites.
- Preparing MOPS and scripts for routers and switches for network integration
- Troubleshooting and optimization of IP/MPLS network
- Develop Automation/Tools for various IP Network engineering services
- Synchronize IP processes for all Network Engineering
- Develop performance monitoring & Optimization process for IP/MPLS Networks.
- Design and Implementation of Geo redundant solution for various nodes of core networks
Requirements
- At least 8 - 10 years of relevant experience
- Strong, proven knowledge of relevant technologies with at least 4-6 years of hands-on skills and experience in IP networks design and implementation within telecommunications (preferably service provider) domain.
- Strong knowledge of the fundamentals as well as the latest trends in the evolution of the 2G, 3G, 4G & IP technologies.
- Strong experience of IP network planning and detailed design.
- Hands-on Experience for IP Core and Access Network Optimization
- Ability to verify & validate and troubleshoot IP Core Network Design.
- Good Knowledge of performance counter, QOS & Capacity Utilization etc for IP Core Network
- Good at product portfolio from vendors like Ericsson, Juniper, Cisco and Extreme. Experience with Extreme and Brocade switches and Fortinet Firewall will be a plus.
- Should have good understanding of routing protocols and technologies like VRRP, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, LDP, RSVP etc.
- Good understanding of Wireless systems in general and LTE packet data nodes in specific.
- Exposure of IP security system design and implementation using IPSEC.
- Good Understanding of various call flows within LTE and interconnection of packet data nodes (namely SGW/PGW/IMS and Application Servers and Geo Redundant Solution design and implementation for Core Nodes.
