Lead Engineer - Business Administrator

Job description / Role

- Identify the project deliverables, milestones, required tasks & targets to determine the staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources through the project measurement system.
- Accountable to lead a team of 6 Technical personnel ensuring on-time, in-scope and on-budget delivery of project within HSE guidelines.
- Advising the project team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors during detailed engineering phase.
- Review and analyze project progress reports including deliverables (i.e. Earned Value, overall project schedules, S-curves, Actual vs. Plan, short term look ahead, project actions and critical issues identification).
- Support the project team for visa processing and act as a focal point of contact for employees and provide them with regular updates on the status of the visa process and accommodation.
- Coordinate and interface various departments and/or entities (Client/PMC, Contractors and Vendors) and provide support to keep project on track.
- Monitor submission of documents/deliverables by EPC contractor with respect to contract time frame.
- Develop and train Omani nationals assigned to the project.

Requirements

- University B.Sc. degree in Engineering / Business / or similar role.
- Professional certification in Project Management team is an advantage.
- 10years relevant experience on a Mega Projects within Oil & Gas and Petrochemical/Refinery
- Experience of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.), industry processes, standards and their impact on project activities.

Technical and Business:
- Experience with FEED and EPC phases of the project.
- Experience with Third Party oversight, risk and/or relationship management
- Sound knowledge of project economics and evaluation principles
- Demonstrated ability to deliver quality results on-time in field of expertise
- Demonstrated ability to engage with and manage complex stakeholder input
- Capable to work with multiple systems relevant to plan and execute work
- Proven ability to meet highest HSE standards
