Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Analyses and approves relevant documents, including drawings, layouts, construction methodology and schematics proposed by the EPC Contractors in conformity with the contractual technical specifications and applicable codes and standards.
- Coordinating, supervising and approving Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed design activities and deliverables in conformity with the contractual technical specifications and applicable codes & standards.
- Pro-active management of vendor and EPC contractor’s technical interfaces, leadership in the identification, submittal & resolution of scope changes and deviations.
- Monitors progress of the pipeline activities and comments on the project schedules in collaboration with the other members of the implementation team and identifies serious slippage to the schedule and proposes recovery measures
- Manages the interfaces and focal point between the EPC Contractor’s teams, the operation team and other departments in relation to piping works and tie-in activities.
- Coordinate with the project team and other members of the project implementation to ensure accurate work drawings are maintained and that field changes and as-built drawings are properly documented.
- Develop and train Omani nationals assigned to the project.

Requirements

- University B.Sc. degree in process engineering, mechanical Engineering, instrumentation or similar role.
- 10 years relevant experiences leading multidisciplinary teams on a Mega Projects within Oil & Gas and Petrochemical/Refinery and pipeline experience is an advantage
- Good experience in IT working tools (e.g. word, excel, power point etc...). Knowledge in other engineering software such as HYSIS, PIPESIM, CAESAR, and AUTOCAD and or latest piping design software will be an advantage.
- Experience in PDO / Brown & Greenfield Projects will be an advantage

Technical and Business:
- Good conceptual and analytical skills.
- Fully conversant with Pipeline codes and standard.
- Sound knowledge of project economics and evaluation principles.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate at all organizational levels (internal and external to the project team)
- Proven ability to meet highest HSE standards

Leadership and Interpersonal:
- Proven ability to align, motivate and develop people across multiple disciplines and levels
- Demonstrated ability to deliver quality results on-time in field of expertise
- Demonstrated ability to work in multi-cultural, high pressure team environment
- Demonstrated non-authoritative ability to influence peers
- Capable to work with multiple systems relevant to plan and execute work
- Proven effectiveness in analysis execution and delivering results
