Job description / Role
Master Tailor up to 2K USD for an E-Commerce (Fashion) Company in Muscat, Oman
• Assists with customers to determine types of material and garment styles desired
• Assembles garment parts and join parts with basting stitches, using needles and thread or sewing machines
• Develops designs for garments, and design patterns to fit measurements, applying knowledge of garment design, construction, styling, and fabric
• Repairs or replaces defective garment parts such as pockets, zippers, snaps, buttons, and linings
• Estimates how much a garment will cost to make, based on factors such as time and material requirements
• Sew garments, using needles and thread or sewing machines
• Measures parts such as sleeves or pant legs, and mark or pin-fold alteration lines
• Maintains garment drape and proportions as alterations are performed
Requirements
• High school Diploma or any related course/certification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pattern making for women's wear with experience in high-street fashion
• Excellent communication and able to speak English fluently
• Proven skills on pattern development drafting, cutting and draping
• Profound knowledge of fabrics as well as clothing design
• Knowledgeable in using and operating a sewing machine
