Employment: Full Time

We are looking for a Materials Engineer to work on a Mega Oil & Gas project for a main contractor in Oman

Project: Central processing facility gas project in the Sultanate.

This has been awarded on a convertible lump sum basis and will convert to a full lump sum contract at a pre-determined point during execution.

The scope of work will include engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the central processing facility (CPF) at the Khazzan field.

The project also includes an associated condensate processing system, power generation plant, water treatment system and all associated utilities and infrastructure.

Job Role:
- To carry out the day-to-day management of own responsibilities
- To ensure our scope is well understood
- Coordinate the technical services being provided by all parties, including other disciplines and facilitate integration as required
- To deliver the services in accordance with the Project Agreement and achieve the financial objectives set at the commencement of the Project.
- Contribute to the monthly project review in conjunction with the Project Director and explain and propose appropriate action in relation to any negative variances.
- Ensure delivery is in accordance with the Technical Assurance Goals and Design Principles;
- To ensure the safety critical aspects of the project are identified and actively managed
- To support the Technical interfaces with the client and other stakeholders
- To communicate Technical information effectively
- To coordinate the Technical services being provided by all parties, this includes all other business units and sub-consultants
- Reviewing of detail design and shop drawings or temporary and permanent works

Requirements

- Must have 10 years + experience
- Candidates should have a track record in Earthworks, concrete design and laboratory testing.
- Must have gulf region experience
- Must have a degree in Civil engineering or surveying
- The ability to read working drawings and related specifications.
- Computer literacy and excellent communication skills are essential.
- Must be degree qualified from an accredited University preferably Civil, Structural or Geotechnical engineering
