Job description / Role
- In consultation with GMM set up the administrative process for recording, processing and handling matters received from Customers complaints, Oman courts, and Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP).
- Responsible for the day to day administration of each case.
- Creating files for each matter and make sure these are kept secure and kept up-to-date
- Represent the company before the primary and appeal court
- Draft submissions of each case in coordination with the legal team.
- Recording receipt of and distribution to the relevant court papers and PACP documents to the relevant lawyers-customer complaint file
- Making sure that the relevant authorities receive a timely and appropriate response to their correspondence (by email, fax or letter, as appropriate).
- Handling PACP matters and making sure that Oman Air’s interests are protected.
- Keeping a record -diary of upcoming court hearings and any meetings with PACP
- Making sure that our external lawyers - Oman Air legal department send regular updates of matters and agreeing the manner in which this will be done (email)
- Making sure that external lawyers send in their invoices on time and that these are recorded in the department and are in accordance with the relevant engagement letters.
- Represent the company before Public prosecution, MOM and any other governmental entities
- Keeping track of legal expenditure
- Impart knowledge to other members of the Legal Department
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in related discipline preferably in law / legal affairs having 2 years of relevant experience preferably in copywriting
- OR Two years college Diploma in related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience
- OR Specialized certificate / License in the related field with Secondary School certificate and having 8 years of experience in similar functions.
