Job description / Role
In 2011, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said decreed the establishment of a new university dedicated to scholarship and research in science and technology with a mandate to expand the nation’s higher education capacity significantly and spur economic growth.
Our Client, the University of Oman Project (UOP) is the project phase of the University of Oman which is expected to become operational by August 2018.
The University of Oman Project seek to employ the services of a Planning and Performance Manager to join its project team.
The successful candidate is expected among other things to:
- Liaise and follow up with UOP internal units, consultants and stakeholders to ensure proper delivery and reporting on tasks and aggregate required inputs from various parties that relate to the UOP performance and objectives.
- Establish a monitoring and evaluation system to track the effective and efficient delivery of outcomes and outputs (through quality assurance systems) of the entire UOP office as well as its units, committees, consultants and individuals.
- Establish performance plans for office staff including the Team Leads. Guide Team Leads in establishing performance plans for their respective subordinates.
- Cooperate and coordinate with related authorities, units, consultants and partner institutions for effective implementation of project monitoring activities.
Requirements
- MBA in Business Management or Master Degree in Quality Management.
- Professional qualification or certification in quality assurance or quality management.
- 15 years of working experience including 7 years in a similar role.
- Experience and knowledge in database management and information systems and excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
