Employment: Full Time

Plant Technical Manager, Al Suwadi Power, Oman

- Oversee plant O&M activities, HSE management, contract management, warranty and punch list management.
- Monitor HSE performance of operator and report.
- Monitor O&M activities of the power station from Owner’s perspective in accordance with O&M agreement.
- Monitor compliance with PPA and other project agreements, incl. reporting.
- Monitor compliance to regulatory requirements and permit stipulations
- Monitor plant performance and provide regular feedback, reports.
- Manage closure of punch list and warranty claims in liaison with O&M Operator and follow up with EPC Contractor for timely resolution.
- Manage any direct involvement of Owner to rectification of punch list or warranty claims.
- Organize and coordinate technical plant improvements.
- HSE objectives of zero harm and zero environmental incidents.
- Performance related KPI’s as set by management.
- Permitting related compliance.
- O&M procedures, O&M agreement.
- EPC contract, PPA.
- List of warranty claims.
- Plant O&M and Plant performance objectives.
- HSE compliance.
- Completion of warranty claims and punch list.
- Weekly/monthly progress report to head office.

Requirements

- Master’s degree, mechanical, electrical or instrumentation. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position or in CCGT plant operations and maintenance.
- In depth knowledge of combined cycle power plant O&M.
- Contract management.
- Strong networking skills.
- Problem solving skills. Solution-oriented.
- Meeting organization skills.
- Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken).
- Self-motivated. Able to deliver independently with minimal support.
- Understanding of the contractual framework (OMA, PPA, NGSA, ECA etc.) and stakeholders.
- Prepared to be mobilized to international locations for extended periods (6m – 2years).
