Job description / Role
Positions - (2) based in Sohar & (1) based in Duqm
Accountable for maintaining and improving relationships with existing customers and to grow (new business) the customer base. The person will have to handle all customer requirements in terms of completing quotations, handling complaints, ensuring dispatch information is received from the customer, maintain the monthly order bank document, resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Comply with and be actively involved in Integrated Management System - Policies and Procedures
• Develop Product-wise Monthly sales forecasts and submit to Line Manager
• Set up enquiry and contract files
• Maintain and manage filing systems to facilitate easy data retrieval
• Maintaining & filing complete sales records including lab reports for customers
• Make quotations & month end reports according to Line Manager’s requirement
• Organise LPOs and delivery arrangements on priority basis
• Invoice preparation and checking
• Establish and maintain effective haulier relationships
Commercial Performance
• Assist Line Manager in Identifying, Managing & Developing customer accounts
• Cash Collection & invoice submission
Sales Best Practice
• Adhere to company sales policies and processes
• Plan and track own sales activity (calls, visits, quotations etc.) as directed by Line Manager
Distribution
• Coordinate with distribution team to ensure full delivery of customer service propositions on own accounts
Marketing
• Identify new opportunities to improve marketing
• Use marketing information to improve sales offering to own accounts
External relations
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with contacts at all levels of own customer accounts
Requirements
• The successful applicant should have at least 2 - 5 years’ experience selling asphalt, aggregates in a large construction company based in Oman.
• A bachelor degree holder with good computer skills and a valid driving license.
• Financially numerate
• Excellent selling skills, particularly relationship building
• Excellent presentation skills
• Good communication skills in English
• Able to organise and prioritise own workload
• Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
